Boston Yancey

Tiny Bosty
Our 1st morning together
We had Bosty at 4 p.m. and got to go home at 2 pm the next day
Sweet boys
OH, I melt at this picture of my boys!
Little man!
Our first family photo
Right after I delivered
Bosty just grabbed the clamp and the nurses were all cracking up...Dane was a little nervous that Bosty might hurt himself.
His first sponge bath
Look at those eyes!
Our Starving little boy! We took him to the Doctor and the doctor gave him this bottle on the spot, because apparently our little boy was starving, so now I have to breast feed and bottle feed him. He is growing perfectly and getting little bits of chub now! We love it!
He looks so different in just a couple weeks! He looks so tiny here!
One of our first all nighters. We were exhausted but had to capture every moment! It was all just too precious.
My little glow worm! Look how tiny he is!
So cute

Bosty in his old man pants. All of his pants are way too big for him, so he looks like a little old man in all of them! hehe
A day at the Rose Gardens. About a week and a half after Bosty's birthday.
Cuddle time with momma. He still bunches his little frog legs up tight, just like he was in the womb. :)

So I have posted about a million pictures on facebook of our Bostybear, but for the sake of the blog (and a best friend without face book) I will post some pictures of the little man.

Boston Bradbury Yancey
6lbs 12 oz
19 inches long
Born Saturday September 18th at 3:53 p.m.

He is now 7lbs 3 oz and 20.5 inches long!
He is the sweetest baby and hardly ever cries. He loves to make little sounds and sometimes tries to talk. When he is hungry he makes the cutest cherrio mouth with wide eyes, and thinks that somehow milk will make it in that tiny tiny hole. It is a very cute effort. He is so so handsome and so far has pooed, peed, and spit up all over mom and dad. I think that's an official right of passage into parenthood right? Dane and I (so far) have not had one moment of frustration with our little boy. It is all still too new and fun. So far, just about everything he does, just makes us laugh. He had a tough little appointment today to be circumcised (sad) but he did great as long as I held his little hands and face and sang to him. Kind of embarassing to be singing in front of two nurses in a quiet room, but I would do just about anything for my little boy, so in the moment I really didn't care that I was serenading the entire room. From the moment he was born I have been singing to him "To make you Feel my love". My sister put that song on a video for me for my baby shower and I think it is the sweetest mommy/son or just parent/child song, and my little boy seems to love it.

As far as me, I have been healing well since delivery but my hormones have been INSANE! Actually at one point I thought I might be going insane. :) Every day gets better though, and my husband and baby have been my best medicine. After a rough labor and the most crazy emotions I have ever felt, I can honestly say Boston is worth it all a million times over! Dane and I had NO idea just what we were missing! Also Dane has been doing really well. He is balancing school, work and family very well and he is such a natural at being a dad. He is the best swaddler, and has to teach mommy how to swaddle better. He is so comfortable with Boston and Boston just loves his dad.
PS you think you LOVE your husband...and then you see him loving on your son and that love just grows by about a million! It has been so fun watching Dane be a dad!

Ya for Dane!

This post is dedicated to Dane. At Gonzaga he works for the School of Business as the marketing and recruiting specialist and as one of his first projects he was asked to design a billboard for the MBA program. As Dane and I were driving downtown today we saw one of his billboards and we were so excited! So later on we went on a "Where's Waldo" hunt for the rest of Dane's billboards. Here are some fun pictures of our hunt. There are about 8 billboards all over Spokane. Dane did an awesome job and all of his billboards were EASY to spot because they were in great locations and he did a great job on them! Great job Daners! It's always fun to share these moments with you! Proud of ya!

A day at the Park... about 37 weeks!

Beautiful flowers

37 weeks
handsome handsome husband
getting artsy
How pretty is this garden?!

At the Rose Garden
37 weeks

The Rose Garden
Dane and I had a very fun labor day. We have a BEAUTIFUL park right by our house that is awesome. It is huge and has a duck pond and like three different gardens in it (the Rose Garden, the Garden with the Gazebo, and the Japanese Gardens). It is the prettiest park I have ever been to. In addition to the beautiful gardens this park has tons of rolling green hills with huge trees everywhere and of course there is a little playground for kids as well. Dane and I decided to do a mini-prego-photo shoot, since I am about 37 weeks along and it was such a nice day. After the Park Dane and I went to a fun bbq that friends at school/in our ward invited us to. It was a lot of fun. So far we are really loving Spokane!

Spokane, School, and Bosty

Yummy pumpkin bread... my first time and it turned out great!

The beautiful pond at the park by our house. The water is obviously a little dirty, but the pond as a whole is beautiful.
Yummy home made cocoa that Dane made me!!!

Dane had his first day at Gonzaga, so I took the typical first day of school pic and had some little treats ready for him when he came home. I also made him a yummy grilled chicken and potato dinner.

We are loving life so far here in Spokane. Dane has been working for the MBA program for over a month now and has been enjoying it. He just started school last week and is excited about his classes so far. He said his classes are extremely diverse. In one of his groups the students are all from different countries (USA, India, and Japan). This is a big change from BYU Idaho.

We have a really great ward here and everyone has been super welcoming, so that has been really nice (especially for me) because I am home all day, just waiting for Boston to arrive. We just barely had our 36 week appointment and everything is looking great. At one point the doctor said she thinks Boston will come early because I am already effacing and we have a solid family history of early babies, but at this appointment the Doc said I haven't made any progress from last time. So if he does get here early, it won't be too early. The Doc said I am measuring a little small and Boston is about 6 lbs right now, so she says I will be having a smaller baby... no 9 lbers. But I guess we will just wait and see. They did another ultrasound on me (since I was measuring small) and we could see that Boston still has chubby little cheeks and pouty lips. The Ultra sound tech said he was practicing his sucking, cause we could see his little mouth moving and trying to suck. It was very cute!

Almost 37 weeks, just 3 more weeks to go!!
