It means reclaiming that childhood innocence and finding joy in the simplest pleasures, (your child's laugh, his smile, a long shower during nap time, grocery shopping alone when Dad's home to watch the baby, etc...)
It means your heart grows twice it's size and so do your fears and worries.
It means waking up in a freezing cold room with the window open, and your first instinct is not to pull the covers over you tightly, but to run to the babies room, shut his window, and pull his blankets over him tight....then proceed to put your cold toesies between husband's legs and pull the covers over you tightly.
It means doing mundane every day tasks and knowing you are changing the world, by caring for and preparing one of societies newest additions.
It means splitting your gift card (from the Husband) in half to buy the cutest little shoes you've ever seen for your baby and being just as happy as if you spent the whole card on yourself.
It means less sleep, bigger messes, more joy.
It means when flying on an airplane you spend more time swaying and rocking in the aisle, than you do in your actual seat.
It means you get to add about 100 more job titles to your resume (chauffeur, chef, teacher, nutritionist, maid, entertainer, singer, and the list goes on...)
It means you have the same name as millions of other women, but is unique to only your children.
It means you get to practice showing Christ-like love every day.
It means everything to me. Absolutely everything.
