Candice and two nakey white boys
Sorry this is such a long post of pictures but I had to put them all in!  We took time this Summer to visit some our dearest friends, the Harrisons and the trip started out with immediate rolling on the ground laughter as we piled all of our luggage into Candice and Cody's car.  It wouldn't have been a big deal had our stroller not been a beast, so Dane had to ride with the stroller basically in his lap. haha!  It was a great way to start the trip.  A little background...

Cody and Dane have been best friends since the MTC.  They both served in Brazil and then were college roomies for years and years and they graduated together from BYUI.  Candice and I became FAST friends and think we are better friends than even our husbands (haha).  We bonded over being pregnant together, our Husbands, cooking, crafting, makeup, Nordstroms and the list goes on.  I love Candice because we can go from cracking up laughing, to having a totally serious conversation and back and forth all day long.  And we could LITERALLY talk all day long.

The boys left us one night and we stayed at home to watch a movie and do face masks while the babies slept.  The next day we told the boys that we could watch the movie we tried to watch the night before, because we never finished it.  When they turned the movie on it was paused at the VERY beginning of the movie.  HAHA we didn't even make it 1 minute in, before we paused the movie and chatted our brains out all night long.  (Sign of a good friend).

We also had a much needed and lovely girls day.  We planned on going to the best mall ever in my opinion (Park Meadows) and we wanted to shop all over.  Instead we spent the whole time in Nordstrom (mostly at the makeup counters) and Janie and Jack.  That pretty much sums us up.  We could of gone back the next day if we had time and spent 4 more hours in both those stores.  Later we got the best frozen yogurt (creme brulee anyone?).

While we were in Colorado we also went out to eat, cooked tons of delicious food, went swimming, and Candice and Cody took us to Garden of the Gods.  It is a beautiful park with amazing rock formations.  There were definitely some funny moments there (kissing Camels?) haha.

The Harrisons were great hosts and it was so good to finally see them and meet there little baby.  We have convinced our boys that they will be best friends, be roomies at college, and probably serve missions together.  We miss the Harrisons and wish we could live by them but we will definitely keep up with our annual trips to see each other.  We figured if we could all make it work this year when we were beyond poor, then we could make it happen every year!

Spokane (or wherever we're living) 2012!!

Our two days in Colorado we spent with my Aunt and Uncle. We wish we had enough time to spend even  more time with them.  I want to live by Aunt Nancy and have her be my doula at each of my pregnancies and go on regular morning hikes with her.  :)

They took us out to eat at a yummy mexican restaurant and I also had some chick fila which I have not had since I think Texas (that's a looong time).  It did not disappoint.    Aunt Nancy took off two days of work for us and she is a busy woman so that means a lot!  We chatted with Uncle Rob and Aunt Nancy all night and the next day Aunt Nancy took us on a beautiful morning hike.  She also showed us this gorgeous canyon where Uncle Rob used to live and where they spent much of their dating time together.  :)  They are such an adorable couple and Dane and I hope to have just as happy of a marriage.  I wish we could live by them...Nancy and I would totally be BFF.  :)  She is such an amazing person and we would have so much fun, chatting, hiking and just hanging out.  I love that all her kids are grown adults and she is STILL baby hungry.  I think I will be that same way.

We love you Aunt Nancy and Uncle Rob!  Thanks for hosting us.
