Thanksgiving (I did more posts before this one)

This year was our third Thanksgiving together. Our 1st one we were dating. Our second one we were married, and this one we are parents! Wonder what life will be like next year. We have so many things to be thankful for. Last year at this time we were trying to get pregnant and get into Grad school, hoping we could end up back in Washington. This year we have our baby, are in Grad school and are living in Washington. We wanted to go spend Thanksgiving with my dad in Seattle but the weather was too bad, so we planned our own little Thanksgiving here. It turned out great. Dane and I did some major team work and made all of our favorite dishes, including our first Turkey. Everything tasted delish! Then we put Bosty to bed, made some slush and had a dance party/music video making fest. It was so fun. I am so thankful for my wonderful life. It has it's challenges, but the blessings are so so much more.

Boston by 2 months

So This is kind of a boring post. It's just facts that I need to get recorded and this is the way I track life right now.

Facts about Boston:
First smile-about 6 weeks
Rolled over for the first time front to back-about 7 weeks. Boston also rolled over at his 2 month Doctor's appointment. The Doctor said our child will be a spaz or an athlete...we'll go with athlete. :)
At his one month appointment he weighed around 8 lbs and was about 21 3/4 inches. His head was in the 50th percentile. weight 10-25th percentile. Height 75th percentile.

At his 2 month appointment he weighed 11.1 lbs and was 23 inches long. His head was in the 50th percentile. Weight 25th-50th and height 50th percentile.

He has gained a little over 4 lbs and grown 4 inches. He oohs and ahhs a lot. We think we hear the starts of his little laugh at times. He is a very happy baby and loves to be cuddled, rocked, held cheek to cheek, sang to and played with. The Doctor said to me that I must be doing tons of tummy time with Boston since he is rolling over at this age, but the truth is I haven't done tons. Then I realized Dane is ALWAYS doing tummy time with Boston when he is playing with him and holding him on his chest. I am always telling Dane "be careful with Boston, don't be too rough, he's too young for wild play" but at this Doctor's appointment I realized that it is a very good thing that Daddy's like to play so much. Mom's are for being gentle, and Daddy's are for toughening up (in ever so loving ways).

Hanging out with Mama

Boston and I are still finding our groove and figuring out our schedule. I have some days that I am really productive and others that I feel like all I did was feed Boston and cuddle him. I just started working out again which is REALLY nice. I am hoping this will give me more energy. Boston is doing great and growing so much! We can't believe how much he has changed. We miss our little tiny baby, but are loving every second of our fluffy cheeked little boy. I am going to start watching my neighbor's little boy, so she had me watch him for a couple hours the other night as a little test run. He is such a sweet boy and I think him and Boston will be good buddies...they are only 10 days apart!

Gonzaga Daddy

Dane is an awesome Dad. He is working hard in Grad school but spends every spare second with Bos and I. He likes to cuddle Bos while he is doing his homework, when he wakes up, in the middle of the night, it doesn't matter! He just loves being with his boy. Dane is so smitten. I love seeing the two of them together. I bring Dane dinner at work every Monday and Wednesday and Dane gets to see me and the little guy for 30 minutes before class. It's quick, but so worth it for all of us. We all miss each other during the day. I dressed Boston up in his Gonzaga gear to go visit Daddy's work one day, so all of his co workers were eager to hold him. Big shout out to Dane! He is a seriously awesome Husband and Dad and I could not be more grateful!

Fall in Spokane

Fall here in Spokane is so beautiful! Dane, Bosty and I all went on the most beautiful walk the other day through Manito Park. I was jumping up and down at some points pointing to beautiful trees, and Fall decorated houses.

Halloween

We had a very low key Halloween this year, which is saying a lot since I am SUCH a Halloween girl. We just did the ward party and Trunk or Treat and passed out candy to the kids. It was still a very fun Halloween...and I ate way too much Candy corn!

Boston's blessing day

Boston was blessed this past Sunday and it was a very special day for our little family. We blessed him in Kennewick with most of Dane's family there. My sister Jodi sent me the most adorable blessing outfit for Boston to wear. It is a white velcro tux that even has a velcro cumberbun! There is something that is just too cute about someone wearing a tux, while sucking on a binkie. Dane and I were so giddy and happy all day. I felt kinda like how I did on our Wedding day when Dane and I were in the Temple...just giddy and extremely happy! We could not stop laughing at how cute Boston was and he was quite a hit at church. :) Dane gave Boston a really incredible blessing and between me, Dane's Mom, and his Aunt we were able to write down just about all of it. During the blessing a few people in the circle started laughing a little, so Dane opened his eyes and Boston was wide awake giving them all the biggest grin ever! Dane had to try not to laugh he said it was so cute! Wish I could of seen it! When Dane was carrying Boston up to be blessed he was asleep, but as soon as Dane started he woke right up and was grinning so big his binkie was barely hanging on. I felt so lucky to be the Mom of that handsome baby in the tux. :) More pictures on facebook
